Hockney Style Joiners

Hi everyone are you ready for another blog post because i'm ready. In my G.T class we are working on a photomontages. To me my photomontage is different then David Hockney's because my photomontage is meaningful to me. Some of David Hockney's are important and meaningful and some are photos of chairs or rotten apples which might not be as meaningful. Also David Hockney's more experienced than me so he knows how to do photomontages very well. He also did not use a computer on some photomontages but I did. I think that there are many things different and there are some things that are the same.

So you might know that many people don't use the internet wisely while others do. So lets say you take a picture of you huge house or your new clothes and put a caption saying I bet my house is bigger and better than mine or bet you don't have these clothes yet. Which would could make some people feel bad or feel like there life isn't good enough. On the other hand some people take pictures of the beach or of a someone recycling which might make other people want to go to the beach or start recycling which would help the world become a place. Over all it's best to post good pictures that make people feel good and could help the world. Oh and if you look to your right you can see my photomontage of Katy.

My photomontage is something you would see in your every day life...Yep you guessed it a TREE. It's not just a regular tree it's a flower tree. There's many reason why I used a tree and the first reason is because a flower is just like a person for example at first it's just a blossom waiting to become a flower then it might start to look different and then it might start getting older and wrinkled and then it falls of the tree. Another reason is because trees or why we have air around us and if we don't have trees then we can't breath so everyone should take care of the trees. To me a tree represents me because each tree has different purpose for example a fruit tree is was made to give fruit a flower tree was made to look pretty and other trees are made for air or paper. Also each tree looks different some have a lot of leaves so have barley any some have red bark some have colorful bark and ext...and that's what I hope people see in my photomontage. 

2016 Aspirations

Hi everyone this weeks blog post is about my goals for 2016. I have many goals for 2016 but the 5 main goals would be. One teach my dogs how to fetch because they know how to do a lot of tricks just not fetching. Other one would be to learn how to do my front hip circle in gymnastics. Its a move that you use on bars and it's the only move I need on bars. My third one would be to try new foods from around the world because I hear many people talking about foods from around the world and some sound gross and some sound really good. My fourth goal would be to learn how to do a back bend on the balance beam because it's something me and my friends all want to do.
My last goal would be to learn how to become a better painter because I'm not good at painting so I would really like to learn how.

Out of all the goals I said the number one goal would be to learn how to my front hip circle on bars. The reason why this is so important to me is because if I get my front hip circle I will be ready to compete for Kauai gymnasts. This move is the one move I need to complete my gymnastics bar routine. If I get this move my whole bar routine will be a lot easier and I know I will be ready to compete and that would be kinda like doing two goals. You might be a little confused of what a front hip circle is so I will explain a front hip circle. Its a mix of body motions on bar such has candle stick, and plank, etc. Then you have to go forward and stay in the bar it sounds easy but trust me it's not                                                            

Im gonna get this skill because I'm gonna focus in gymnastics. I will also learn all of the different positions which will really help me improve. I will also practice more on bars instead of my backflips so I can be more focused on getting my front hip circle I can't wait to get this skill.
Another way I could get it is by practicing it at home because I got a gymnastics bar I really think I will get my front hip circle. This year will really be amazing if I get my front hip circle!

Scratch Game Design

Hi I hope you had a great THANKSGIVING but to get back on track in G.T we have been working on a project were we must design a game were one sprite/character has to chase another character. I was thinking would this game be to hard for others or to easy so I made sure my game was at a medium kinda level. Then I started thinking is this game easy to control. NO! It was not I had to  fix it up so I looked it up and found out how to make my controls move more smoothly. After I thought everything was all good my sister tried out my game and she LOVED it so I knew my game was ready.

My sprites are one a little red character (Sprite 1) and second is a star (star). The star is moving randomly while sprite 1 is chasing it. When you are playing this game you must score 20 points to WIN!!! I wanted my game to be fun not that boring old game so I tried to make everything different and fun. Every 20-10 seconds the background changes and so dose sprite 1s costume. My game also has music because I didn't want my audience to be sitting in plain scilince.  When you get 20 stars the sound changes. My sprite also says something when you began my sprite says "Let's get those stars". Then when you catch the star 20 times it says "you did It". That's the basics of my game. ;)

I would have to say I ran into a few problems and out of those problems my biggest one was getting my sprite to jump ever time I went to make it jump it wouldn't jump or it would just stay in the air and fly around the place. So finally I got it to jump by putting a block that says when start forever if not touching black fall down -2. It was funny because that problem was very easy. Above all those problems were amazing codes like my best code but simple code was making my star move randomly across the screen (in my chase game). I used the block when start forever glide randomly between X -240 to 240 and Y -240 to 240. This made my star move randomly across the screen making it a little bit harder to catch the star. 

Invention Commercial

Hi in Gt we have been working on a project were we try to convince our audience they need our product. My team wanted to make a product that would help our world become a better place. So because of pollution our world is coming to an end. So our product helps you find trash so our world can become awesome again. Our goals were kinda high but all in all I think we did a pretty good job. It was kinda funny and it described what are product was so it was a good commercial.


The best team moment was when we were at the beach filming even if Teresa did not show up. We
were at the beach playing around and having fun. It was fun filming because it was supposed to be funny so its was funny when we were filming. To be more exact the best part when we were filming was when Katy (the monster) was chasing us around the beach. The reason why is because when she was chasing us it was really fun and it did not feel like work at all. Just trust me if you ever get chased by a trash monster you will feel how funny and fun it is. You might want to try it sometime its super fun.

My team mates are Katharine Hoesel and Teresa Gonzalez. When we were getting our audio (A-Roll) Katy went home and got a lot of audio. Then at school Katy and I got a few extra A-roll Teresa was out sick that day. Then on Sunday Katy and I got some footage which was really fun we were both laughing our heads off. When me and Katy were filming Katy was a dinosaur and trash monster I also played multiple acts like a cave women and business women and a regular person at the beach. You may be wondering who was filming well Katy's sister actually had to help us with some footage other wise me and Katy did the filming. Then later that week on Tuesday me and Katy edited and turned in the project. When Katy and I were editing we couldn't stop watching it because we added music in the part were Katy was chasing me down the beach and we loved it. We tried very hard to finish it on time I think its a pretty cool video.     

Composition Scavenger Hunt

Hi in Gt we have been doing a project called composition scavenger hunt. To me I think unusual angle is the most important because it draws the eye two the subject. I also think that its is important because it makes you interested with the subject. Unusual angle is not that hard to get so its a simple but cool technique. I think people should use unusual angle when they are taking pictures.

I think the hardest technique is rule of thirds scenery because its hard to get one subject when your looking at scenery. For example when your taking a picture of a forest there is not one subject there is many so you can not use rule of thirds scenery in this picture. Another thing that I think is hard about rule of thirds scenery is that when you do get a picture its hard to make it interesting. For example if you take a picture of a tree in the rule of thirds its not very interesting. I think I should practice this technique even if it is hard. I like this technique but it is kinda hard. So I think everyone should start practicing rule of thirds scenery.

When we were filming I wasn't working by myself most people should know because I wouldn't have have pulled off that amazing work by myself so I will tell you a little bit more about them. There names are Teresa and +Katharine Hoesel  they helped a lot. When we were filming we all did a lot of different stuff like speaking, filming, and acting. When we were editing Katy did music/sound effects +Teresa Gonzalez  did titles and I did transitions. We were all a great help to make this fantastic amazing film. I think that if you work in a team a communicate correctly you can get a lot done.        

Cracking the Code

Hi it's Alexis and we have been practicing coding to learn just the basics of coding. Coding is easy to learn so I think everyone should start coding now. First whats coding, coding is directions for your device to follow. I think everyone should a least learn the basics of coding. Why because for almost every job you need to know coding because computers are everywhere now. Coding is simple, fun, and you should learn how to code. These are just a few reasons why you should start coding.

  Hi in are GT class we have been working on coding. My first experience with coding was in GT. It was called 1 hour of coding. It was fun and a challenge we had to get someone to the other thin.it was easy then it got harder. I am exited  for my next challenge of coding. Coding will help us with new inventions and I did the first step.

If I could design any game,program or app I would design a app. What would it look like it would have a heart on top. What would it do well it would help people from live from sickness. You could scan your hand and it will tell you if you if your sick or not. It will tell you why your sick and what you are sick of it will also give you a cure. This will help many people and I think that it can help are society.

My Humorous Monologue

Hey everyone we have been working on a humorous monologue and this is what I have learned. I have learned that B-roll is the clips that you have took and also that in imovie when you have put down your audio you put your B-roll on top. Another thing I have learned is that when you are doing a project like this you need to stay organized. I also learned that when you are recording your monologue you need to have remembered it. I also learned how to use the camera correctly and how to format and import properly.

What's padding? Padding is the time before and after you start talking when taking your A-roll. Why is padding important it's important because without padding you do not have room to edit. How much time should your padding be 2-4 seconds in the begging and end. This will help you make an AMAZING video. Have a great day and make sure you use this information.

Has you know we have been working on a comedic monologue. I have made a few mistakes but I learned from each one. Like how I made some of my images pitch black. Another one is that I kept on messing up my monologue. On the other hand I put my images right were they needed to be. I also fixed my lighting problem. I learned many things like how to stay organized and how to add transitions and other effects in imovie properly i'm happy that i got my video done in time and i think I learned a lot of things from this one project. I think I ended up with a great video.
